RECREATION GROUNDS

The Town Council owns 6 main recreation grounds and 13 play areas, some of which have basketball posts, tennis courts, paddling pools and play equipment.

The Recreation Grounds are at Cheam Way, Claymeadow at Hounsdown, Eling, King George V at Calmore, New Forest Park at Calmore and Testwood. In addition there are a number of smaller areas around the Town and the extensive green route through the West Totton Development. The 13 play areas are provided with modern equipment and safety surfaces. Bartley Park Skateboard Park is an extensive youth facility that has skateboarding facilities, BMX track, zip wire and basketball posts.

TESTWOOD LAKES are being constructed by Southern Water to the north of the Town and they will safeguard the quality of local drinking water by acting as reservoirs. When completed in 2002 the lakes will be a haven for plants and wildlife and an extensive recreational facility for the Town and surrounding area.

TOTTON & ELING TOWN COUNCIL The Town Council run an extensive range of facilities including recreation and community services. They also have a youth centre in Junction Road and a number of other youth facilities. At Eling is the Heritage Centre and throughout the Town bus shelters and seats.
