EXHIBITORS RULES

1. Competition open to all
2. Entries for Classes 1 - 81 should be submitted by Friday 19th July 2002, but late entries (up to 9.45 a.m.) on the morning may be accepted at the discretion of the Committee.
3. Payments to be made when Exhibitors Collect Class cards on arrival in order to stage exhibits.
4. Hall will be open at 8.30 a.m. on the day of the Show, and all exhibits must be staged for judging by 10.00 a.m.
5. All exhibits in Section 1,2,3 and 3A must be grown by the exhibitor.
6. All exhibits in Sections 4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11 and 12 must be the original work of the exhibitor.
7. Exhibits must not be removed before 1.00 p.m.
8. Exhibits remaining at 2.00 p.m. will be sold or disposed of Trophies will be held for one year, and must be signed for when presented to winners.
9. The Show Committee reserve the right to amalgamate classes if numbers are too low.
10. The awards will be left to the Judges discretion.
11. The Judges will be directed to withhold or reduce prizes where exhibits are considered unworthy.
NOTES FOR THE GUIDANCE OF EXHIBITORS PLEASE READ THE RULES CAREFULLY.
Remember - biggest is not necessarily the best! Where more than one specimen is required for a class, they should be of even size. Fruit and Vegetables should be edible. Beets and Carrots should have leaves removed, leaving 2 to 3 inches of leaf-stalk. Tomatoes should have calyces attached.
All flower exhibits should be attractively arranged. Definition of a vase: a vessel taller than it is wide, height not exceeding 12 ins.
SECURITY OF EXHIBITS The most careful arrangements will be made for the protection of all items sent for exhibition, but the Committee will not be responsible for the loss or damage sustained on their way to, at or during the Show.
ENTRIES Please return completed entry form (can be copy or a legible written entry), "Entry fee Pay on the day when Collecting Class cards", in an envelope marked "Show" to either Calmore Community Centre or, Mr G. A. Bunday,15 Elizabeth House, Calmore Drive, Calmore preferably by Friday 19th July 2002. Entries on the day of the Show accepted at the discretion of the Committee .
